Top-dressing Top-dressing can be one of the most important practices carried out on your lawn next to aeration and fertilizing. This service helps to keep thatch levels under control by encouraging microbial activity. Top-dressing will also help to reduce compaction of soil profile, improve root zone structure, allow micronutrients to be readily available to turf, and allow improved infiltration of water through the soil. We use a mechanical top-dresser to evenly spread a layer of topsoil onto your lawn. After we finish spreading the soil it is then gently raked into the soil profile.
